1 ) DERMAROLLER

Derma Roller and micro-needling work on the same principle. Both treatments create minuscule holes in the skin that trigger the body’s natural healing response to repair and close the holes. This helps new collagen to form which rejuvenates skin softening fine lines and wrinkles. Acne scars, sun-damaged skin, and stretch marks can also be treated.

The difference between the treatments is that Derma Roller is a single-use manual medical device which is literally ‘rolled’ over the treatment area. Micro-needling is an automated procedure carried out with a precision-engineered device. Its technology ensures that the holes are made vertically within the skin which can boost the treatment’s effectiveness.

At The Parome’ Clinic, we understand how scarring such as acne scarring can affect your confidence. Scarring occurs when the body tries to heal itself after experiencing a ‘trauma’ such as acne. It produces large amounts of collagen which knit together in an uneven way resulting in marks and indentations.
Derma Roller and micro-needling help to target these issues with many of our clients seeing considerable improvement after treatment. And the great news is that both procedures are minimally invasive with very little downtime.

BENEFITS OF DERMAROLLER:
1. helps increase collagen production to rejuvenate skin
2. softens fine lines and wrinkles
3. can also target acne scarring, stretch marks, and sun-damaged skin
4. minimally invasive with little downtime
5. can take 45 mins to 1 hr.
6. results will start showing in 2 weeks and the process continues for months

2 ) DERMAPEN/ MICRONEEDLING

It’s a great feeling to introduce a new skin rejuvenation therapy, the Dermapen®. Faster, less painful and more effective than the Dermaroller, the new Dermapen® prompts the natural release of the skin’s collagen and elastin for amazing anti-aging benefits, all without surgery. As we age, the natural production of the skin’s supporting cells, fibroblasts and the skin’s collagen and elastin, naturally diminish leading to wrinkles, sagging and hollows. Stimulating the skin to produce more fibrolasts, collagen and elastin is called collagen induction therapy and is used as an alternative to facelifts and other surgical anti-aging interventions:
Please visit www.dermapenworld.com for more information.

BENEFIT:
Skin tightening, lifting and rejuvenation, Acne scars and wound healing, Improvement in wrinkles and fine lines
Pigmentation/improve complexion, Stretch marks, Minimise pore size.
Maximum benefits are achieved when combining the recommended skin care products before and after treatment
• Can take upto 6 weeks before signs of regeneration visible. The new Dermapen® takes this effective collagen induction therapy to the next level, giving amazing results with less damage, less pain and less recovery time. The older Dermaroller penetrates the skin at an angle, meaning it causes more damage and is difficult to use on scar tissue and on facial curves. The new Dermapen®’s micro needles penetrate vertically, solving all these issues while still providing an excellent therapeutic result. Plus the automatic vibrating function of the Dermapen® increases the effectiveness of the treatment by increasing the absorption of serums, while reducing pain and discomfort. The Dermapen® penetrates the skin from 20 to 90 times per second with an adjustable speed and from a 25mm to 1mm depth, depending on the area being treated.

Dermapen Versus Dermaroller

Dermaroller is basically a small rolling pin covered in needles. It was an effective first generation method of delivering micro-trauma, but has some significant disadvantages relative to the latest technology available – the Dermapen 3. During a derma roller treatment, the roller is rolled across the skin, leaving behind a trail of microscopic punctures. While the needle roller is effective, the rolling action of the device causes the needles to enter and exit the skin at an angle, creating lateral epidermal tears. The tearing is due to the simple mechanics of angular needle entry. Whilst not detrimental to the results, this makes the treatment much more painful, and often causes a longer downtime for the patient.

The Dermapen’s needles enter the skin at a 90 degree angle, eliminating the pain and epidermal tearing associated with dermal rollers.

The Dermapen has a smaller surface area allowing it to be used around tight area such as the eyes, nose and upper lip. The depths are fully adjustable allowing a more accurate method of treatment rather than the ‘variable pressure’ technique often used with Dermarollers. Most importantly, the Dermapen can deliver treatment at least 4 times faster than a Dermaroller, which means much less uncomfortable time on the treatment couch for clients

3) DERMAPLANING

Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation that consists of using a 10 gauge scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion. Sounds scary, right? It really isn’t, as long as you’re in the right hands. “Dermaplaning requires handling a very sharp blade that’s used in surgeries.

Dermaplaning safely scrapes off the top layer of skin, so it is well suited for drier skin types and anyone who wants to get rid of peach fuzz.

Dermaplaning removes all the dead skin cells and also the facial hair, leaving the surface very smooth,” explains Wright. Dermaplaning also allows for greater penetration of skincare products and creates a flawless canvas for makeup to glide on smoothly. In fact, cosmetic dermatologists often use dermaplaning to help prepare skin for more intrusive procedures such as laser treatments and chemical peels And used in combination with microdermabrasion with good results.

This is a great treatment if you are pregnant or nursing and want exfoliation without the risk of harsh chemicals absorbing into the blood stream and potentially harming your baby.

4 ) MICROSCLEROTHERAPY

Leg veins are a cosmetic common concern for many women. They appear as red, blue or purple lines on the skin and can be unsightly. While varicose veins may require surgical treatment, many other types of veins such as thread veins or spider veins can be treated easily with microsclerotherapy, which is considered the gold standard treatment for these types of veins.Microsclerotherapy involves the injection of a solution, known as a “sclerosing agent” into the vein using a very fine needle. This causes the vein to break down so it can be absorbed by the body.

If you have thread veins or spider veins on your legs that are bothering you then micorscelrotherapy is a safe and effective solution. Book a consultation to find out if you are eligible for treatment. The needles used for microsclerotherapy are very fine so while you may feel a slight scratch tor pinching sensation, the treatment is not painful. The procedure takes about half an hour depending on how many veins are being treated.

You are advised to wear compression stockings for three days after treatment but you can carry on with normal activities straight away. You should refrain from any strenuous aerobic activity for 24 hours however. You may get some bruising which can last for a couple of weeks and the veins may appear worse before they get better.Microsclerotherapy is considered to be the most effective treatment for targeting thread veins on the legs. Most veins will completely disappear following treatment.

5) PRP (PLATELET RICH PLASMA THERAPY-VAMPIRE FACE LIFT)

Dark circles under eyes can become worse with age as skin thins and collagen production slows down.
PRP Therapy is a very simple and safe procedure where blood is taken from the patient just like in a regular blood test. Then the blood is put into a centrifugal machine for 8 to 10 minutes and spun. This facilitates the separation of blood and then the platelet rich plasma is collected and injected into the desired area. In layman’s language, it is blood plasma which is rich in platelets. This treatment has growth factors that fuel the healing of soft tissue (a tissue that supports and connects other body organs and structures).Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy can be done in an area that requires texture improvement and almost every person can benefit from it.

Popular areas corrected with PRP therapy include:
• The décolletage
• Area under the eyes
• Neck
• Hands
• Full facial reconstruction

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is also used for:
• Stretch marks
• Skin tightening
• Acne scars
• Areas affected by ulcers, tendon injuries or burns

PRP Skin Therapy vs. fillers and other injections
Many types of fillers are made of solid materials that seal lines, skin creases and wrinkles including those around the mouth and lips area. This type of treatment lasts from six to eighteen months and therefore recurrent treatments are needed to fill the desired area again. Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy on the other hand, stimulates one’s own collagen to grow for full rejuvenation; it is used to add volumes to faces that are beginning to sag, soften under eye area, boost the skin tone, tightness and texture, and finally fill in areas where fillers cannot spread and are risky to use.

Benefits of PRP therapy
The new cell growth activated by platelet rich plasma lasts many months
It helps your skin heal naturally without using any chemical or foreign substances
Insignificant chance of infections or allergic reaction

7) CHEMICAL PEELS

(Glycolic Peels) (TCA PEELS) (NEO-STRATA) (JULIETTE ARMAND) (LIRA)
(FOR DARK SPOTS, HYPERPIGMENTATION AND SUN DAMAGE)

Chemical skin peels can be used to great effect to rejuvenate your skin, particularly on the face and neck. They can transform problems such as dull, lifeless skin; hyperpigmentation; fine lines; scarring and some types of acne. Also known as chemical peels, skin peels work by exfoliating the skin in order to remove any dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of the healthy young cells underneath. Chemical skin peels can promote collagen regeneration, encouraging it to come to the surface of the skin in order to greatly improve its appearance.Patients often choose to have a skin peel in addition to treatments using Botox and dermal fillers because they feel that it is not enough to just remove the wrinkles and improve the shape and contour of the face, but that they also wish to improve the condition of the skin itself.

We will always strive to give you a naturally fabulous end result that exceeds your expectations and makes you feel confident about your appearance.

WHAT RESULTS SHOULD I EXPECT FROM A SKIN PEEL?

  • Rejuvenated and brighter skin
  • Revival of dull skin
  • Removal of dead skin cells
  • Even skin texture and tone
  • Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Smoother, softer skin
  • Eliminated pigmentation and reduced effects of sun damage
  • Reduction of inflammation and breakouts caused by acne
  • Hydrated and nourished skin
  • Stimulated collagen production for plump and youthful looking skin

To achieve maximum results, our skin experts will recommend a course of skin peels depending on your skin type, tone and condition.

8) MICRODERMABRASION

(FOR DULL, TIRED-LOOKING SKIN /SKIN IN NEED OF REJUVENATION)
This condition is often caused by dead skin cells on the skin’s surface. Many of our treatments restore skin for natural-looking results.
Microdermabrasion is a mechanical method of exfoliating the skin. It works by using a superior vacuum and a specially designed hand piece to exfoliate the layers of the stratum corneum The combination of skin exfoliation and vacuum stimulates the fibroblasts to produce new and healthy cells in the basal layer of the epidermis. This leads to cell turnover, an improved blood flow and skin rejuvenation. Microdermabrasion serves as a fantastic pre-treatment for other skin rejuvenating and injectable treatments, such as Chemical Peels and Skin Needling (Dermaroller)
Both relaxing and effective, microdermabrasion is a deep exfoliating treatment which will give you a fresh rejuvenated youthful glow to your skin. Microdermabrasion allows you to treat lines, wrinkles, dull dehydrated skin, sun damaged skin, skin laxity and acne scarring by using a controlled method of skin exfoliation, which uses crystals to gently lift and remove dull, dead skin cells, layer by layer. It helps skin pigmentation, enlarged pores, acne scars, sun damaged skin, facial wrinkles and stretch marks
